Frank Drauschke / Partner
Born in 1970, studied History, South Asian Studies and International Relations in Asia at Humboldt University in Berlin and at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. During his studies and research visits to India, Great Britain and the United States, he conducted research in the respective archives.
In 1999, together with Beate Schreiber, he founded the partnership company Facts & Files.
Frank Drauschke is member of the committee of the Working Group for Applied History/Public History of the Association of Historians in Germany.

Beate Schreiber / Partner
Born in 1971, studied History, German, Educational Science and Psychology at Humboldt University in Berlin and at the Technical University in Berlin.
Following her state examination in 1998, she worked as a freelancer for various clients in areas of restitution cases in East Germany and as an academic consultant for film screenplays.
In 1999, together with Frank Drauschke, she founded the partnership company Facts & Files.
Beate Schreiber is member of the Working Group Provenance Research.

Dr. Hans-Christian Bresgott / Senior Researcher and Archival Services
Born in 1972, studied History, Art History and German language and literature studies at Technische Universität Berlin, Humboldt University Berlin and at the University Erfurt. In 2009, Hans-Christian Bresgott became Senior Researcher at Facts & Files. He recieved his Ph.D. with a thesis on the history of German Baltic Resorts from the Center for Metropolitan Studies of the Technische Universität Berlin in 2014.

Sabine Altmann / Researcher and Project Assistant

Claudia Bourcevet / Researcher and Archival Services
Born in 1970, completed her first and second State Examination in Law in Berlin and had worked as a lawyer for several years. Afterwards she studied Medieval History at Humboldt University in Berlin and graduated in 2014 (M A.). During her studies she supported Facts & Files as an intern in a project concerning the application of the Saale Unstrut region to be enrolled in the World Heritage list. Together with Hans Bresgott, Claudia Bourcevet has supervises the archive of the General Secretary of the German Red Cross since 2014. She is a member of the Society for Regional History of the Mark Brandenburg.

Dr. Hajo Frölich / Researcher and Archival Services
studied history, sinology and law in Nanjing/China, Jena and Berlin and received his PhD from Freie Universität Berlin in 2016 with a thesis on the Chinese school system of the late imperial period. At Freie Universität, he also worked as a research assistant in various projects on the social history of China in the 19th and 20th centuries. As a scholarship holder of the Gerda Henkel Foundation and the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, he then conducted research on zoological research trips to China. He joined the Facts & Files team as a research assistant in 2020, where he is primarily involved in the archiving and current provenance research projects.

Ruth Bergmann / Archival Services
completed her studies in cultural studies with a focus on cultural history at the Europa-Viadrina University in Frankfurt/Oder in 2003 and subsequently worked for various regional history and archaeological projects. Since 2007, she has been involved in projects on the history of collections and museums as an art and cultural mediator in the Collection of Classical Antiquities and the Islamic Museum of the National Museums in Berlin and has also organised various cultural projects since 2014. At the same time, she supported various archival and inventarisation projects of Facts & Files as a freelancer and has now been working as an archive and library staff member at Facts & Files since the beginning of 2021.
Kati Zimmer / Archival Services
studied modern history and then worked at publishing houses. She is trained as Specialist for Media and Information Services, which she completed in 2017. Since March 2021, she is with Facts & Files and works at the archiving and inventory projects.
Jonathan Haag / Researcher and Archival Services
studied Modern History, German Philology, and Italian at Freie Universität zu Berlin and graduated in 2022 with a Master’s degree in History. Since 2019, he has been working as a research assistant at Facts & Files, and as of November 2021, he is a team leader for archival and indexing projects.

Nicolas Weicker / Student Worker, Assistant Researcher
is a student in the master’s program in Public History at Freie Universität Berlin. During his bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in media and communication studies at the University of Mannheim, he worked as an intern and student assistant in the archives and library. Since moving to the capital, he has been involved in various projects at different institutions dealing with the reappraisal of the SED dictatorship. Following an internship at Facts & Files, he is now working as a student assistant.

Sarah Lemke/ Student Worker and Archival Services
is a student of archival science at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. During her studies, she completed several internships in archives, including the archive of the BStU, the archive of the Robert Havemann Society, and the Secret State Archives of Prussian Cultural Heritage, where she was responsible for indexing and cataloging written materials and photographs. Since 2022, she has been working as a student worker at Facts & Files.
