Facts & Files conducted research on professions and vocational training in East Germany for the online project DDR-Box

The online platform of the learning project DDR-Box depicts the East German history, presented by young people for young people.

Our research was about the following topics: What were the opportunities for young people in East Germany to have a career? How did the East German government organized vocational training and how influenced the state the career of the people? How did the centralized vocational training and university studies work? The answers to these question will be published on DDR-Box.
The project DDR-Box is produced by DDR-Box e. V.. It is financed by Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, Bundesstiftung Aufarbeitung, Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung and Berliner Beauftragten zur Aufarbeitung der SED-Diktatur.
