Indexing of the photo holding
Commissioned by the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government, Facts & Files selected 5,500 historical photographs from the holding of the Federal Photo Archive, which includes around two million pictures.
The photographs were chosen according to their historical relevance and their photographic quality. The particular event and the people portrayed in each picture were researched. After their digitalisation, the photographs were inserted into the photo database and supplemented with a description of the content.
