Born in 1970, studied History, South Asian Studies and International Relations in Asia at Humboldt University in Berlin and at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. During his studies and research visits to India, Great Britain and the United States, he conducted research in the respective archives.
In 1999, together with Beate Schreiber, he founded the partnership company Facts & Files.
Frank Drauschke is member of the committee of the Working Group for Applied History/Public History of the Association of Historians in Germany.
